So a little bit about me. My name is Pete, and I live in Bristol in the UK. I am a single widower with two boys. I have one boy in university and one in school; my younger son, who is in school, is a disabled wheelchair user. I am 54 years old, or 18 with 36 years of experience! I decided to start writing down my thoughts, as I was told it could help keep me sane (we shall see). I enjoy a lot of different things but don’t have enough time to do any of them successfully, and I tend to be distracted easily by new, shinier ideas. My real passions are woodworking, fettling and fixing stuff, rugby, football, gaming, and gardening. I am also just starting to try and get myself healthier; I have built a garden gym for the whole family to use, but getting the enthusiasm to actually get in there seems to be escaping me at the moment (remember the whole shinier idea thing). Anyway, that’s a little bit about me; more to follow, I guess.

Hey there Pete! It is so awesome that you decided to create a blog as a single father. I don’t think we get a lot of those perspectives in general. At least not where I look. I feel like I am similar to you in that I have so many interests! I decided to create a blog to keep track of them. Overall, I love working with my hands and creating visual art. But I also really LOVE woodworking. I had created my first wood project a month ago! It needs varnish but I really love it.
I hope you can get into your garden gym – even if only for 15-30 minutes! Stay healthy for the boys!
